Obituary for Kimberley H. Costello
Kimberley (Kim) Costello, 48, of Morris Twp., New Jersey died peacefully at Morristown Medical Center after an ongoing battle with cancer, on Thursday February 27th, 2020. Kim was born in the Chicago area and, at a young age, moved to southern California where she was raised. She graduated from Principia College in Illinois and went on to obtain a law degree from Saint Louis University in Missouri. Upon completing law school, Kim began practicing law as an associate at K&L Gates (formerly Kirkpatrick & Lockhart) where she met her husband Christopher Costello of Morris Twp., another new associate at the firm. During her career, Kim has also worked at Morgan Stanley, General Electric, CRT Capital, and Brighthouse Financial. When she wasn’t working, you would always find Kim with her family. Kim adored her children. She was a constant presence in their lives. They would see her running around Assumption School volunteering for everything she could do. They would see her at every game, concert, and other event. They would hear her cheering very loudly at ice hockey rinks and swim lanes -- even from under the water. And on top of all that, she was a wonderful wife and best friend to Chris. Kim is predeceased by her father John Haynes and her father in law Harry Costello. She is survived by her mother Donna Haynes, her mother in law Doris Costello, her husband Christopher Costello, her children Emily, Harry and Finn, her brothers & sisters Anne and Bill Hayes, Alicia and Elliott Stein, Patty Costello, Barbara and Alan MacCormack, Doris Costello, Elizabeth and Stephen Roth, as well as many nieces and nephews, and way too many friends to name. Please omit flowers, instead the family requests that any contributions be made to the Costello Children’s Trust, which has been created for the benefit of Kimberley’s three children. The trust will provide a source for the children’s education, health, and support. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Costello Children’s Trust: Attn: Brett B.
