Louise “Jackie” Deskovick
Born March 11, 1930 to Louise and Giuseppe Fogliese in Morristown. She was the youngest of six girls, born of that union. She passed away peacefully at home, after a long illness on June 18, 2020.

In 1947 she met her husband of sixty-nine years Robert R. “Dick” Deskovick at Archies Hot Dog Stand in Whippany. They were married in 1951.

Her husband was a successful builder in the Morristown area. In one of his shopping center projects, she opened a address shop, Burlap and Silk, which proved a very successful enterprise for many years to follow.

Ultimately, her need and desire to give back to the community in which she lived and thrived, resulted int he start up of Dick and Jackie Deskovick Foundation.

The foundation has been responsible for several philanthropic donations over the years, including the Patriots’ Farewell foundation on the Morristown Green, as well as the funding of Morristown Medical Center’s Deskovick Maternity Wing and Pavilion.

The foundation is also credited for giving the Morris Minute Men a brand new ambulance in 2015 and building the Gazebo at Ginty Field for the future enjoyment of all.

The foundation is responsible for placing the revolutionary was cannons at Acorn Hall, the center of Morris Plains and the front lawn of the Morris Twp. Municipal Bldg.

The foundation gives yearly in excess of 100k to many charities including Neighborhood House, Salvation Army of Morristown and Home for Good Rescue.

Jackie was an avid and proficient golfer. Having been a member of Springbrook C.C. And PGA National of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl for many years, she was well known by all.

She is survived by her husband Dick Morristown and daughter Kim of Mendham.

She lived a full and rewarding life, giving much to many. She will be dearly missed by all.

Service at Doyle Funeral Home Monday 6/22 private.
