Obituary for Arturo Flores

Arturo Flores passed away at the age of 66 on July 26, 2020 in Morristown, NJ. He was born on December 1, 1953 in Usulutan, El Salvador. Arturo was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Arturo immigrated to the United States in 1994 with his wife, Ana Julia Avelar. Soon after, they settled in Morristown for a better future and to be able to grow their family. They left their beloved country to take advantage of the opportunities that were not foreseeable in El Salvador. Arturo worked various jobs but he was very well known in the Morristown community as “Don Arturo,” the taxi driver. Arturo was a man of faith and attended Igelesia Evagenlica Hispana in Morristown. Most would describe him as a perfect example of a Christian man. He attended Sunday services regularly and hosted bible studies every Monday night. Arturo was frequently seen reading his bible and speaking the word of God to everyone around him. Arturo loved his congregation and has left a great impact on many. He had many hobbies that included fishing and making his own fishnets and hammocks by hand. Arturo was a man to always put a smile on your face and a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of many great things.

Arturo is predeceased by his parents, Juan Rivas and Antonia Flores. He is survived by his wife, Ana Julia Flores, his daughters, Deysi Monge, Cecilia Barraza, Arminda Flores, Dinora Flores, Norma Ramirez, and his sons, Joel Ramirez and Enrique Flores. He is also survived by his 12 grandkids.

Arturo will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He was the shortest one in the room but always the loudest one.

Arturo Flores, hijo de Juan Rivas y Antonia Flores nació el 1 de diciembre del 1953 en Usulutan, El Salvador y falleció a la edad de 66 años el 26 de julio del 2020 en Morristown, NJ. Arturo era un amoroso esposo, padre y abuelo. Su familia y amigos lo extrañarán profundamente.

Arturo emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1994 con su esposa, Ana Julia Avelar. Ellos, pronto se establecieron en Morristown para crecer su familia. Dejaron su amado país para darles un mejor futura a sus hijos. Arturo tenía varios trabajos, pero era muy conocido en la comunidad de Morristown como "Don Arturo", el taxista. Fue un hombre de fe y asistía la Iglesia Evangélica Hispana en Morristown. La mayoría lo describiría como un ejemplo a seguir de la fe cristiana. Fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres Juan Rivas y Antonia Flores y hermanos Israel, Baysa, y Domitila Flores . Le sobreviven su esposa, Ana Julia Flores, sus hijas, Deysi Monge, Cecilia Barraza, Arminda Flores, Dinora Flores, Norma Ramírez, y sus hijos, Joel Ramírez y Enrique Flores y sus 12 nietos.

Arturo vivirá en los corazones de su familia y amigos para siempre. Aunque era el más pequeño en un habitación, su sonrisa podría alumbrar todo.
